Would namaz (regular prayer) be like exercise? You stand still for Allah and so do the angels. This is great respect for Allah; one expresses his gratitude to Allah. You bend before Allah, you do not admit your pride here, you express your slavery by bending; what does it has to do with exercise? What is asked is to bend a few times; a person makes hundreds more activities during the day. By prostrating you disregard your pride. You bow before Almighty Allah. Some people say, “It is also beneficial in terms of exercise.” What does it have to do with exercise? During the day many things happen, something falls down for instance, you bend and pick it up. It does not have anything to do with exercise or gymnastics. There you show your humbleness. You show your gratitude to Allah. If someone shows benevolence to you, for instance, someone gave a gift to you, a pen. You simply thank him. Then he presented a watch to you. You remain silent. Then he offered you food. You remain silent. He bought you clothes. You remain silent. Does this have any rationale? As you give thanks, you feel relieved. Right? You see the blessings of Allah everyday. REMEMBERING ALLAH EVERY DAY, RECITING HIS NAME GLADDENS HIS HEART EVERYDAY. IT IS AN EXPRESSION OF LOVE, A DISPLAY OF LOVE. One says, “My Lord, many thanks to you.” The other day, you give thanks again. ALLAH DOES NOT FEEL TIRED OF POURING DOWN BLESSINGS, SO WE SHOULD ALSO NOT FEEL TIRED OF GIVING THANKS TO ALLAH. ALLAH DOES NOT FEEL TIRED OF LOVING YOU, SO YOU WILL ALSO NOT FEEL TIRED OF LOVING ALLAH. How nice it is to give thanks to Allah everyday. Praying is a great blessing. Praying is a great blessing. Praying is a great beauty. Prayer is relief. PRAYER IS GIVING THANKS TO ALLAH, IT IS A DISPLAY OF LOVE. You love fragrance, are you bored of a fragrance? Would one ever feel bored of Allah? Or would ever feel bored of giving thanks to Allah? Would you ever feel bored of love? Right? It is a blessing. Would one ever feel bored of his Lover? Prayer is an obligation. It is an inseparable part of being Muslim. PRAYER CANNOT BE DETACHED FROM A MUSLIM. PRAYER IS ATTACHED TO A MUSLIM; IT IS LIKE BREATHING IN AND OUT TOGETHER, LIKE A HEART BEAT. Would one ever live without giving thanks to Allah? It is an expression of love, of giving thanks to Allah.
Surah Fussilat, Verse 10
He placed firmly embedded mountains on it, towering over it, and blessed it and measured out its nourishment in it, laid out for those who seek it – all in four days.
“He placed firmly embedded mountains on it”, mountains, great buildings, unshakable tall skyscrapers, Allah creates them all. This verse does not refer to mountains alone; it refers to everything made of concrete, stone and soil. Especially the skyscrapers. “...and blessed it”. Trade, opportunities, agriculture, husbandry, everything. “...and measured out its nourishment in it. Four days. “
Surah Fussilat, 11
Then He turned to heaven when it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, ‘Come willingly or unwillingly.’ They both said, ‘We come willingly.’
“Then He turned to heaven when it was smoke” says Almighty Allah. “...and said to it and to the earth, ‘Come willingly or unwillingly.’ They both said, ‘We come willingly.’” If we analyze the verse one by one, we see that there are coded, covert signs. Verse 11, September 11. “Then He turned to heaven when it was smoke”. Everywhere was filled with smoke when the Twin Towers collapsed. It was a tremendous cloud of smoke and dust. Notice that the verse relates, “‘Come willingly or unwillingly.’ They both said, ‘We come willingly.’ Both of them, both of the towers. Where? To the ground. When Allah said “Come” then both of the towers collapsed. They followed the commandments of Allah and melted like sand. The two buildings is a sign. The melting of both towers, giant towers. This is something unprecedented. The melting of such a building, the melting of a skyscraper has never happened before. This is the figurative meaning other than its apparent meaning.
Surat az-Zukhruf, Verse 52
Am I not better than this man who is contemptible and can scarcely make anything clear?
Pharaoh says, "Am I not better than this man” Those who oppose Hazrat Mahdi (as) always say that they are more auspicious, blessed and knowledgeable than Hazrat Mahdi (as). “...who is contemptible and can scarcely make anything clear?” That is to say, he can not read the Qur'an and speak properly. They will also say the same things to Hazrat Mahdi (as). They say that he is not a scholar, not compatible with Islam and not well -known. He is an ordinary person and thus can not be Hazrat Mahdi (as). At that time also Pharaoh calls him a poor person, not a person who can be a prophet, may Allah forbid.
Surat az-Zuhruf Suresi, Verse 53
'Why have gold bracelets not been put upon his arms and why is there not a train of angels accompanying him?’
An angel is invisible, otherwise we lose our free will. If one says, “This is Hazrat Mahdi (as), then he already receives revelation.” Having faith in an angel becomes obligatory then, and it removes the free will. Then the hadith which relates that Hazrat Mahdi (as) does not know that he is the Mahdi becomes meaningless, for Hazrat Mahdi (as) already hears it. He can not say that he is not Hazrat Mahdi (as) because then he would be refuting the angel and the people around him have to believe him, it becomes compulsory. Then they will be receiving revelation. It becomes like a prophet who receives a Book, Allah forbid, and a provision appears. However, the last book is the Qur'an. No other book will be revealed again.
