They recognize all the prophets. For example, think of a Jew who does not recognize the Prophet Abraham (pbuh); he will be ruined, may Allah forbid. What is your problem? “What if that means you cease to be a Jew?” My brother, it will make you a better Jew. You will be a true Jew. You will stop being half a Jew and become a complete Jew if you also follow Muhammad. Love the prophet. Does loving the Prophet Abraham (pbuh) mean you stop being Jewish? Since you love the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) you will love him even more. Do you not love the Prophet Abraham? You will love him more. Love the prophet as you love the Prophet Abraham (pbuh). How lovely. What will you lose from your faith?
And for followers of Jesus. They love the Prophet Jesus (pbuh). Do I tell them “Abandon the Prophet Jesus (pbuh)? I tell them to love him more. I do not tell them to “Abandon Hazrat Maryam.” I tell them to love Hazrat Maryam even more. Because Almighty Allah says that Hazrat Maryam is superior to all the women of the world. Can you find me such a statement in the Gospels? Allah says He has made her superior to all the women of the world. How well Almighty Allah praises her. What more do you want? Allah praises Jesus the Messiah. He praises and praises him. He says he will return. That is the same as your belief. What more do you want? Almighty Allah gives you good news.
(In response to a viewer who asks, “What is your opinion of marriage. Can a married person not work for the spread of Islam?”)
A person striving for Islam can be married. Why not? Young people should get married, why not? But there are some types who go round saying, “I strive for Islam.” How can one tell? “I pray,” they say. What else? That’s it. They don’t do anything. “Reading is a religious observance,” they say. “Work is a religious observance. But what does Allah say in one verse?
“Say: ‘If your fathers or your sons or your brothers or your wives or your tribe, or any wealth you have acquired, or any business you fear may slump, or any house which pleases you, are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger and striving in His Way,..’” Look, this is really crucial. What does it mean “than Allah”? Devotion to the Qur’an. What does the Messenger of Allah (saas) say? The Qur’an. And this is a really crucial statement, “..are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger and striving in His Way, then wait until Allah brings about His command. Allah does not guide people who are deviators.” Allah says I will punish you. Do you know how? They get married but are revolted by their wives, and their wives are repelled by them. They swear at one another. They want to get divorced, but they can’t. We see such troubles around us. Allah turns it into a nightmare. Allah soon brings them down. They torment one another. Striving on the path of Allah. What does this mean? Don’t pretend not to understand. You must strive in the same way our Prophet (saas) strove. Rasulullah (saas) used to serve from morning to night. He would have a brief nap in the afternoon and then work hard again until evening. We have not come here to have fun. We are obviously being tested.
(In response to a viewer who asks, “What does our faith think of women. For example, why is the Prophet (saas) a man? And you are always speaking of female beauty. Are we [women] created for men?”)
Men and women are mutual blessings. The fact Allah speaks of men first changes nothing. It would be the same if it were women. For example, Almighty Allah tells women He has created them for men. He has created spouses. Women are blessings for men, and men are blessings for women. But that is impossible without faith? Why not? Because otherwise Allah makes them repellent to one another. He makes them scourges for one another. They come like denizens of hell. And they make one another’s lives a misery. They become lovers and swear at one another over the telephone. They say hurtful things to one another. They make life difficult for one another morning, noon and night. I know many cases like that. They upset one another every half hour. Everyone knows how widespread that is. People become a scourge if you do not love for Allah. But you can rest easy if you love for Him Allah.
Polygamy was common in the time of our Prophet (saas). That was a wonderful thing. There were women who were in love with our Prophet (saas). What a great blessing! Every lover marries the one they love in that way. That was a blessing for women in those days. Otherwise, those women would have been in love with our Prophet (saas) but could never have married him. They could never be his. Allah bestowed this on all those who loved. This is a great advantage for women. A man could not win a woman he loved in those days. But Allah bestowed this on women as a kind of liberty then. He bestowed it as a beauty. Allah says you can be with whoever you love. I am speaking from the point of view of the Prophet (saas). Women could make themselves his free concubines. There was no need to marry them. O Rasulullah (saas), I am yours, they said. And that was that. The Prophet (saas) said he accepted them and that was that. She was his free concubine. Or else his betrothed. This was also very good for the Prophet (saas). If I had a daughter, I would have wanted her to marry our prophet (saas). I would be proud. I would beg him to marry her.2012-05-17 16:34:27
