Highlights from Adnan Oktar's interview dated January 23, 2011
TV Kayseri, 23 January 2011
Any intellectual and rational person who uses genuine Islam as their base will reach out to the whole world. We use such a base to reach out to the whole world. We strive for all the universities of the world, women and children, Russia, China, the Chinese communist party, the Russian communist party, masons, for everyone who comes to mind, we strive for them all to become Muslims. Ours is an inclusive perspective, and we seek the happiness of all. The bigoted mindset is not concerned with everyone’s happiness. They just want to show off to their own people. They just want to shout about “heedless and ignorant people” from the pulpit at the tops of their voices. Theirs is an approach of collecting the mosque congregation together and humiliating them and belittling them with extraordinary words. But my method is based on the way of the Mahdi. The way of the Mahdi is based on a spirit that embraces the whole world. It seeks the happiness of all.
This world is one of testing. Were there no diseases, weaknesses or difficulties, people’s attitudes toward Allah might be very bad. Allah speaks of people being spoiled by well-being in one verse. He says that people become spoiled by wealth and well-being. Well-being spoils some people. Some people do not turn to Allah in the absence of troubles and afflictions.
We have to see our weakness. If we cannot see our weakness, we may make a grave error. People are generally unable to see their weakness. Yet people are weak from top to bottom. For example, see what they look like when they do not wash their hair or face. They have to blow their noses and clean their ears and mouths, they have to wash under their arms. They have to clean their whole bodies from head to toe. Otherwise, see how imperfect they become! Allah creates many diseases. He creates our live spans to be very short. Yet we still all see how fanatically and madly devoted to this world some people are. They are reluctant to say a single word about Allah. Some people are just madly attached to Allah’s blessings, make use of them and fanatically try to acquire more of them, yet they never give thanks to Him who bestows those blessings, they are ungrateful and never establish any kind of contact with Him. Allah calls human beings cruel and ignorant in one verse. Ingratitude in the face of Allah’s blessings is part of human nature. He sends troubles and afflictions in order to eradicate that, that wildness of the soul.
I go where the bigoted mindset does not go. I go and strike in places they cannot imagine. With science and ideas. I have become like the Wall of Dhu’lQarnayn in front of them. I have saved them, but they are unaware of it. I had a great impact in preventing the terrible tragedy that atheist masons were preparing for the Great Middle East Project. But I do not sit down and talk about these things individually. I do not say who I have spoken to abroad, which politicians or members of Parliament I have spoken with or which religious leaders I have spoken with, and I do not give everyone a list of them. But I have been instrumental in forestalling a terrible tragedy. And that is still going on.
Animals are aware of it, the Earth is aware of it. Even matter is aware. The asteroids are aware of the Day of Reckoning. Asteroids have surrounded the Earth at Allah’s command. It is not random. They should just fly on past. Why have they stopped? Why should they have surrounded the Earth? An asteroid should just fly off anywhere. But they come and fly around the Earth. They are as thick as a cloud. They have also submitted to Allah. Everything has submitted to Allah. Allah says in a verse that all these stones have been marked. It has been written just where they will strike, He says.
Great events will be seen in his time. (Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntadhar, p. 27)
Astonishing phenomena will appear in his time. (Imam Rabbani, Letters of Rabbani2/258)
You look at the birds in the sky, animals all en masse, thousands of birds in a great body. But the weather and everything else is perfectly normal. These animals are under control. There are hadiths about the dajjal attacking and causing the deaths of birds in flight. It is even said he will attack the fish in the sea. But it says that the dajjal will use amazing devices and methods, totally unfamiliar tools and equipment and weapons. This is also one of the dajjal’s weapons we are unfamiliar with. We are told that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will forestall this. Hazrat Mahdi (as) will strive so that birds and animals can be healthy and live comfortably. Our Prophet (saas) says that even the fish in the sea will be content with Hazrat Mahdi (as). As one is killed, he will strive so another can live healthily and happily. Allah gives the dajjal that means in order to highlight the difference between them. In order to demonstrate the existence of the dajjal. It is Allah Who causes those birds to be killed. It happens as a sign. What it is trying to show is that the dajjal has appeared and these things are happening through him. For example, tens or hundreds of thousands of fish end up on the shore. This is a sign created by Allah to show that the dajjal has come, in the same way that the other signs are marvels showing the existence of the dajjal. This is a marvel described by our Prophet (saas) in the hadiths.
One characteristic of mine is that I go where others do not, where people are afraid of and avoid, where they fear losing their faith. But I strive to neutralize the ideas that scare them using science and ideas. That is my method, insha’Allah. I do not flee or run away. People run away from me, and I chase after them. I am not in favor of running away and pretending to other Muslims that one knows a great deal in the mosques.I address those sections that Islam has not reached, that are unaware of Islam, the other 99% of the world. It is easy to talk to the congregation in the mosque. Those people will listen to whatever you say. They are there to earn Allah’s approval. I talk to people who have not earned His approval, not to those who have. Preaching should be done to those who do not enjoy His approval.
